From One Family to a Community Movement
When my family first moved to Maricopa, I thought it would be just a short stop on our way to somewhere “better.” I remember driving down that long stretch of desert, wondering, Where are we going?
But it didn’t take long for this place to feel like home. Within the first week, neighbors showed up to help us unload our moving truck. We traded phone numbers with new friends, and slowly, we discovered something special here. Four years later, we still love this community and the people in it.
The only thing we felt was missing? More opportunities for our kids to learn, grow, and connect.
If you’re a parent in Maricopa, you probably know the feeling. The options for classes, camps, and activities are limited — especially for homeschool families. I knew something had to change.
So I decided to build what I had always been searching for.
Home Is Our Sanctuary was born out of the belief that our kids deserve more. More chances to discover their talents. More mentors to inspire them. More community. And we can create it, together.
